It's been a bit since I posted something, but I will write a nice little blog entery for you all. I recently was at FYE in Orem and found a boxed set of Tori Amos songs for $20. It had a song on it I heard as a young child called "Past The Mission." It has literally been 10 years since I have heard that song, but it came back to me the instant it hit my ears. I also found myself jamming to a lot of the other songs ont eh 5 different discs. She is SO GOOD, and while I technically shouldn't like Tori because she somewhat hates men and writes music about it, I find a love for her music. Piano has always been a part of my soul because from a young age my mom would play various kinds of songs. I would actually lay under her piano and listen to her practice the music that she would be playing at the Roof restaurant, Nordstrom's, or the Grand America Hotel. Tori uses the piano in such an interesting, soul-stirring way. I love how she takes her anger out on the keys, and her songs constantly have me thinking of how I should treat women better. Songs I love of hers would be "Winter," "Precious Things," and "China." Look her up if you don't know much about her. Rock on people
