RED is actually a Christian Rock band, and knowing this makes me like them even more, and take a deeper, Christ-like meaning out of most their songs. This song, when I listen to it, always reminds me of our journey back to God, and putting our trust in Him throughout the way. Most people may dismiss this as hard rock, abiding with evil parts of the world, but when I get a much deeper meaning out of rock music, especially with lyrics like "I need you more, I'm lost in you... I could never look away, I could spend my life, lost in you."
The DJ/Producer part of me sees this song in my head, being played with its full symphonic orchestra, on a stage in a giant concert hall. The song starts slow, had the main choruses, has the slow part in the middle before the climax, and then continues into one of the most epic sounding songs of its time. The last 32 measures of the song leave a lasting impression on anyone who listens to it, and I would suggest visioning a light show in your head to the song. It will seriously make you bonkers in the end thinking of all of the beauty and love God possesses for us. Again, even though this is a Christian Rock Song, please remember that RED is made to help us feel closer to God. In the end, that should be the purpose of all music.
